Want a free shark tooth? Silly question, of course you do. Now that their runaway dinosaur has been recovered the National Dinosaur Museum are back to business as usual.

They are running a Fossil Hunt where kids can earn themselves a real 50 millions year old shark tooth to take home while learning about the past. Sounds pretty great.

Australian Fossil Hunt

Can you identify which teeth belonged to which prehistoric beast? Can you identify what different animals eat by looking at their bones?

Visit the National Dinosaur Museum during Canberra’s centenary in 2013 and children (and big kids alike) will be able to complete these fun (and educational) quizzes on this prehistoric past with the answers located throughout the museum. On completion, each child will receive a certificate and a real, 50 million year old fossilised shark tooth to take home.

Dates and times:
From 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2013
Open daily from 10am to 5pm, with last admissions at 4.30pm. Open Public Holidays except Christmas Day.
