Song lyrics are allways dangerous territory for politicians of all stripes. They like to throw cultural references about to fool us into thinking they’re normal human beings and not power mad husks.
So feast you eyes on this effort by Senator Humphries in which he praises the wonders Liberal Government has wrought for women, while at the same time tossing a Eurythmics lyric into the title:
“SISTERS ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES” UNDER THE COALITION
So should someone point out the double entendre to him? Or is it best if we just let it be?
