Golden Globes broadcast

I don’t think the Oscars are very relevant either.

If you go back and look at the history of the Ocars you’ll find a long list of forgettable films that have won awards. What’s even more astonishing is the long list of great films, directors, actors etc. etc. blah blah blah that have been ignored.

The whole thing really comes down to advertising and politics leading up to the ceremony. Last year being a rare exception where two films of great quality (No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood) were recognised for their achievements.

Basically, if you make a film about the Holocaust you’re guaranteed a statue.

And dying certainly helps your cause. Just ask Heath.

They’re not as relevant as the Oscars, but I’m just a film awards junkie. It’s like sport and betting for me.

And let me know where I can pick up my beers from. 🙂

wellington, try your local club, they may have nothing sports-wise on at the moment, and, considering it is monday night, they probably will flick it over for you… due to lack of patrons.

Oh come on Wellington, just fooling with you, besides I just won a million beers and i’m the type of bloke who shares. Seriously though do you think that the GG’s are in the same league as the Oscars. I think that it is all a bit lame. Not the films that are attracting the Kudos, but the way the industry stands around self flagellating.

Nice, V twin venom. Love the “If it’s something I don’t like, then it’s for poofters” take. Go back to the 1970s, they miss you.

I enjoy the competition and the winners. I don’t really care about the gossip stuff. Thanks for those who offered assistance. I did end up finding a live stream.

OMFG Wellington. My advice is as follows;

1. Find two bricks
2. Remove testicles from trousers
3. As hard as possible, smash the edges of the bricks against said testicles.
4. Swap trousers for skirt.
5. You are now ready to catch up on the goss in tonights news broadcast.

Oops. Scrap that. After further investigation it looks like they are just posting Youtube Clips.
