When I first contemplated a farewell to Canberra (and it’s not like any of you can say you weren’t warned) I had visions of maybe putting a half dozen bands into the Zierholz Brewery for a night of epic proportions.
But then I remembered a few things.
1) I don’t have time to organise this debauch.
2) The rest of the RiotACT team have failed, over SEVEN YEARS to organise business cards for the site, so if entrusted with organising something actually complicated might come up with a delivery date of 2030. Good things are worth waiting for but I’ve never been one for deferred gratification.
3) RiotACT readers are notoriously poor at coming to the events they are equally incessant in suggesting.
4) A number of readers have been hoping I’d go so they could freeload off some champagne supernova of a party.
So instead I’ll just let you all know that we’ll be at All Bar Nun in O’Connor (Canberra’s home of attempted murder!) from 7.30 on Wednesday 23-MAY-07 (tomorrow). Come along wearing white, yellow, or blue and look for people doing likewise.
