Goulburn tossing their Dead Cat in someone else’s back yard.

p1 11 March 2009 28

The ABC is reporting that Todd Carney has been exiled from his home town on account of being a tool.

I’m not sure I recall such a ruling as that for anyone else.

Carney appeared in the Goulburn Local Court yesterday and received a 12-month suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to damaging property…

The NSW Magistrate Geraldine Beattie also ordered Carney not to return to Goulburn within the next 12 months.

There’s probably more chance of tar and feathers being involved up there.

Squeal like a pig boy….?

Hung, drawn and quartered makes you a believer.

They should have strapped him to a donkey with a hood on his head and sent him out into the desert, ala Mad Max 3.

I reckon we can confidently predict Todd will be in jail sometime before he gets back to the NRL.

If Carney can’t make a go of things in a city of 50,000 people (Goulburn), how will he fare in Atherton (population 6,000)?

General Ko?ciuszko, actually.

Thumper 1:56 pm 11 Mar 09

Mr Kosciusko?

Exile & Banishment is actually a fine tradition…

…and lets not forget Charlie Chaplin or Yoda.

Exile & Banishment is actually a fine tradition…

Now Todd Carney has a quality which allows him to be listed alongside Karl Marx, Romeo Montague, and the guy who Mt Kosciusko is named after.

Can you actually be banished from a town? Do magistrates really have the power to do that?

If they do, can’t we just contract them to work in our courts – might actually get a sentence that means something….

Carney: leopard, spots.

That’s amusing, I had no idea you could be run out of town in this day and age.

It’s almost as if Goulburn City Council has taken out an AVO against Mr Carney. 😛

I’m disappointed by the lack of tar and feathers though.

Sadly, that town doesn’t want him as their town drunk. He can’t get anything right!

Does this also banish him from seeing his own family?

If his family are not a good influence on him, as people have hinted, perhaps this is no bad thing.

This sad saga does go to show that if you come from a disadvantaged or problematic family, it is very hard to change your mindset and grow up to be a different kind of person to your relatives.

Do you think that Carney will get the message now?

I hope they put a sign on the road into town:

Welcome To Goulburn.
Except You Todd, Piss Off.

“Goulburn is a Tidy Town – we throw out all our trash, including Todd Carney”.
