ACT Policing executed a Drugs of Dependence Act (DODA) search warrant on a home in Greenway yesterday afternoon (Thursday, April 17).
Acting on information received, police officers executed the warrant on the Greenway house at around 2pm. A search of the premises located around 2kg of dried cannabis along with a number of small sized clip seal bags and digital scales.
A mature cannabis plant approximately 1.8 meters tall and three partially harvested plants were also seized from the side yard. The material will be subject to analysis.
South District Acting Superintendent Daryl Neit said this positive outcome was a direct result of information provided to police via Crime Stoppers.
“I would always encourage people to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with information about suspicious people or behaviour. They can be assured that police do analyse the details and at times where enough information has been provided, we are able to act.”
As a result of the warrant a 51-year-old Greenway woman will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date
