When the Easter bunny comes hop, hop, hopping along, he’s heading straight to Pialligo Estate.
The Easter Family Fun and Food Day, Saturday 20 April, is designed for the whole family. The small ones will love the jumping castle, face painting, Easter crafts, cupcake decorating, tours and more. The big ones will love champagne, wine, beer and yummy food curated around the quality, seasonal produce Pialligo Estate is so well known for.
“It’s going to be a great day for a picnic with family and friends,” says Claire Northfield, Pialligo Estate’s Children’s Event Coordinator. “The atmosphere will be relaxed, and the kids will have loads of fun.”
The free event will be held in and around The Glasshouse and its sprawling lawns (10 am to 3 pm).
“This is the first major event we’ve had with such a strong focus on kids,” says Claire. “Rather than a typical Easter egg hunt, we’ve organised a treasure hunt, suitable for children of all ages. When they arrive, the kids will be given a ‘passport’ booklet they can use throughout the day, claiming stamps after completing activities. Once the passport is filled with stamps, they can claim a prize.”

Pialligo Estate has several big buggies that can take up to 30 visitors at a time on free farm tours through the orchards and olive groves.
Pialligo Estate has organised matters to save time and hassle. Families can pre-order picnic boxes, then just walk in, pick them up and settle in for the day on their picnic blanket, taking in the amazing views.
The large picnic box ($45) is packed with award-winning smokehouse cured meats, fruit from Pialligo Estate’s own orchards, and house-made pickled vegetables and marinated olives, crackers, cheese and house-made dip. The small picnic box ($15) includes meats, fruit, veggie sticks, crackers and cheese.
“The picnic boxes are designed so you can graze through the day,” says Claire. “And they give you a chance to taste the quality produce of Pialligo Estate.”
Kids will play all day long at the Easter Family Food and Fun Day.
Foodie trucks will also be on site selling popcorn, sweets, coffee, and cupcakes.
You can buy your family picnic boxes here. Don’t forget to bring your receipt on the day as proof of purchase. All food and drinks must be bought on site.
