The ABC has the strange news from Assembly committee hearings that Chief Minister Gallagher is wrestling with where to build health infrastructure costing nigh on a billion dollars as she tries to decide whether Canberra Hospital needs a new tower block:
She says she will make a final decision before the budget in June on when design work for the new tower should proceed.
“We’re certainly reconsidering which isn’t ideal,” she said.
“We did make some clear decisions in the last budget around the design of that building, but I have been nervous about just sending that money off on design when I’ve got a range of other competing projects.”
Things are running smoothly then.
