You Are Here continues to be one of the most exciting and exhausting events in the Canberran calendar. I hope you’ve been taking advantage of it Rioters.

Last night I saw a pair of time travelling scientists attempt to sell an audience insurance, I saw a pub full of rowdy drunks kept entranced by an even rowdier bunch of poets, and I watched an ex-assassin evade a bunch of killer experimental artists in an effort to avenge his dead sleeper-agent fiance.

If I tried to write everything I’ve seen this week into a single list I might go mad. Or at least you’d think I was mad. Each event sounds like something only a crazy person would think up. They don’t sound like real things.

Did any of you make it to Hit Him in the Comic Cuts on Tuesday? I really hope so. It was something special, the kind of wonderful event that reminds you how lucky we are to live in a city containing so many inventive and talented artists.

Never fret though, if you missed it there’s plenty of amazing left in this festival for you! Why tonight you can…

— Get your nails done and listen to some stories at the Talon Salon before 6.
— Go hear people crack jokes about Canberra in a way that only those who love her really can at the Canberra Roast at 6.30.
— Go rock out with a large amount of DJ’s at Literally Too Many DJs at 8.
— Finish up the night chilling out and sharing some music with the Listening Party.

All of those things, you can do all of those things. What do you normally do on a Thursday? None of those things.

That’s not even the full list of what is on tonight, that’s just some of it. Those are my picks. You know what, here’s the program. Don’t listen to me, you’re the expert on you. Work out what you should see yourself. Get to it.

This festival contained so many great events. I got to about one-third of those that looked interesting (to me) and was still exhausted. I hope the organisers are still alive, god bless them!
