Hustle & Scout

It seems the afternoon/evening clothing market turned event was a success last time because they’ve returning on the 14th of December for a Summer edition.

The new and improved Hustle & Scout Twilight Markets will be bigger, better, and more multi-storied than ever before. There will be bands, DJs, fashion shoots, and cocktails to spruce up the shopping experience.

Also, it’s probably not a bad idea to swing by if you’re on the hunt for a few unique Chrissy presents.

This free seasonal fashion event aims to bring more quality, innovative fashion direct to the public and to support Australian designers in promoting their label. The forthcoming market will take on an additional ten stallholders, featuring a total of 32 high-end Australian designers and vintage collectors. This expansion coincides with the launch of Hotel Hotel in early December, which will transform Hustle&Scout into a multi-level event. Stalls will be spread across two levels of the award-winning Nishi building – the ground level Nishi Commercial Foyer and an industrial space within the Hotel Hotel foyer on level one.

Founder of Hustle&Scout, Tegan McAuley, said the expansion of Hustle&Scout was inevitable: ‘Interest from the local design community has exploded since the inaugural event; we have so many talented creatives out there so I knew Hustle&Scout would need room to grow’.

The event, which aims to offer an experience unlike any other market, will feature a diverse line-up of entertainment and music. Local music acts – Lavers (acoustic), Beth n Ben (acoustic) and DJ Louderest – will perform throughout the evening, and international showgirl, Sarina del Fuego will treat visitors to Hustle&Scout-inspired burlesque performances. A live fashion shoot – the result of a collaboration between renowned Canberra stylists Annie Brown and Steven Wright, Fashion Director of Haus Models, will unfold throughout the evening showcasing fashion pieces from stallholders. New Canberra baker, A. Baker, will offer a range of locally-produced food options, and Palace Electric will be serving specially designed Hustle&Scout cocktails at the Prosecco Bar.
