I noticed today that the illegal asbestos dump in Bruce (see this earlier RiotACT coverage) has now been cleaned up, with the site scraped completely clean.
I guess, sometimes, the system really does work.
Wow – now that’s clean!
Could we fit a data centre in there now?
was the portaloo installed for the illegal dump?
I’d actually tried to get the Crimes to run with it earlier, but they weren’t interested. Only when the Riot Act published it did they get off their arses.
I for one think you’re all being far too kind to the government in regard to this issue. To me it’s an obvious display of Stanhope’s arrogance in that a collaborative committee was not formed with the Greens to discuss ways in which the community could be consulted in order to discuss the feelings of those nearby residents that may have negative feelings toward the dumptrucks that arrived to take the junk away.
I call for Stanhope’s immediate resignation. In fact, every Labor MLA should resign. Time for a new election.
Wow, complaining actually works!
This was previously floated as a development site, pending the GDE.
I can probably pull the comittee decisions regarding that specific off act.gov.au ‘ron.
I suspect it won’t be too long before construction starts on a new subdivision there.
Hooray! Now we should ask – where was it moved to?
The dead trees and portaloo can remain as a memorial to this whole sorry episode.
Sweet, there will be room for my trailer load of crap this weekend then?
Window washers will no longer be able to ply their trade at five intersections along the light rail corridor. Will you miss them?
