Katy Gallagher is thanking the building society IMB for kicking in 10k to her hospital:
The donation from IMB includes $5000 for the Maternity Ward to fund the purchase of three Ameda breast pumps and three Neonatal Ophthalmoscopes that will be used to diagnose defects and abnormalities in the eyes of newborn babies.
A further $5000 will be going to the hospital’s Walk-in Centre to purchase the following:
— Ring Cutter- used for injured and swollen fingers to prevent circulation being cut off
— Oxygen Saturation Probe- a clip placed on a finger to check Oxygen level forclients with respiratory conditions
— Tympanic Thermometer- checks client’s temperature in their ear
— Illuminating Magnifier Lamp- used to examine eyes
— Binocular Loop Set- for looking at splinters or other small foreign bodies in fingers
— Lap Top Computer- for educational purposes
— Children’s table& chairs
— Various Educational materials
Call me churlish but I do rather wish these basics weren’t reliant on charity.
