Chamberlains - complete legal services for business

Information might want to be free but…

By johnboy - 8 March 2007 2

The Greens Deb Foskey has come out swinging against the ACT Government’s proposed changes to the FOI laws pointing out another Government with a similar way of doing things, the Howard Government.

The whole release is rolled gold so rather than try and pick out a quote I recommend you all take a minute to read it.

We have already discovered this week that our Great Leader considers himself above the scrutiny of we little people who sup rarely with magistrates and priests and live our wasted little lives amongst the dog turds and cigarette butts.

What’s Your opinion?

My favourite from the Foskey release:

… no matter who you vote for, the Government gets in

Dodging accountability is a speciality of this government, as shown by the issuing of a conclusive certificate to avoid releasing FOI information in relation to school closures.

There must have some other FOI gems out there. Anyone tried to get anything on Griffith Library, for example?
