Has Matt Watts been recently deposed as El Presidente of this Community Council as well? Will the insurgency move south to Griffith? Will the Katyushas be falling on the latte sippers of Manuka? Should I make yet more ammo, and purchase more beans?

Inquiring minds need to know.

ISCCC does have an AGM every year like all community councils. ISCCC is the umbrella organisation of resident groups of the inner south, Old Narrabundah Community Council, Griffith Narrabundah Residents Association, Red Hill Residents Group, Deakin Residents Group, Yarralumla Residents Association, Oaks Estate Progress Association. All involved are volunteers who are up to date on issues of concern to their communities and are knowledgeable about planning rules. The last public forum ISCCC had was a Meet the Molonglo Candidates meeting that was well received by all. ISCCC is a member of the Planning & Development Forum and has organised the minutes be put on ACTPLA’s website. A request for the Industry Monitoring Group minutes to be on line has also been fruitful.
This is under Community Information:

The AGM will have Craig Simmons from ESDD who is a director mainly involved in compliance matters. He is a mine of information about dodgy building practices. The other speaker will talk about the Italian Club area rezoning.
The meeting is open to the public and all residents are encouraged to join either the ISCCC or a residents group. This is for people who want to know what is happening in their area.

The ISCCC website is slowly being populated as the volunteers learn usage of wordpress. ISCCC also has a column in the City Chronicle on the first Tuesday of the month.

Well, there’s an announcement carefully drafted to ensure that no-one outside those in the know will come. Not a hint about anything of substance that might be on the agenda, just boring procedural stuff.

Are these the same people who organise ‘community consultation’ for the ACT government?
