The impression I got from the exhibition was a strong contrast between good and evil. On the one hand paintings of beauty and celestial beings reminiscent of the old masters, that portray visions of heavenly dimensions, giving a feeling of a somehow vaguely connectedness to humanity; on the other hand the unbelievable debasement humans can fall to in trying to destroy whatever is good.
The triumphant winning of good over evil makes one wonder ‘what would I choose?’
