I was out in the city tonight and I saw these guys jogging through civic at 10:30pm
anybody know what this was all about?
I managed to run 8 IB’s from 1990-1997, Johns, Fenner and Toad.
1993 Fenner Hall’s 1st ever sporting trophy had me drinking free beer for a full year,
1994 finishing on Sunday wasn’t fun.
Good luck to all those running,
yeah, these are Inward Bound runners from ANU:
Nothing to see here now run along…
Suspended drivers running from the law? No wait, in this town they just keep driving…
Given that they are all in their late teens / early twenties, and that they are wearing backpacks, I would suggest that they are training for the ANU inter-college “Inward Bound” competition. IB has several divisions where participants are blindfolded, then dropped in the bush with a map and a compass at night and have to work out where they are, and how to get back to the end point. Fun times.
Night jogging is a thing now, apparently.
looks like training for “inward bound” an ANU college running event.
Probably some guys jogging through Civic, same as what you were doing.
As the heatwave rolls on, some are suggesting a dip in the Lake would cool everyone down. Would you go for a swim in Lake Burley Griffin?
