It’s great that bubblers have been installed in Civic. They’re a key part of any strategy to get people to use less bottled water.
(Try not to think about drunks giving themselves a bidet at 4am)
But, well, while this new design is very aesthetically pleasing, and appears to be quite durable, it does require the drinker to get very intimate.
How are the rest of you finding them?
i actually agree, it hasnt got enough height on the spray.
No chance would I drink from a public bubbler. I have my plastic bottle that I use for a week and refill three or four times a day and that’s it for me.

Not as clean as your drinking water……..shame about the energy consumed making the bottles & the enery used recylcing them.

Well that’s a great solution. If everyone in Canberra consumed 10-15 bottles of water a week, we’d be much better off with all that plastic in the ground.
Yuck.
There’s no way I’m going to be drinking out of a scaled-down version of a public urinal.
Plastic water bottles all the way! Clean, cold, hygienic and locally-purchased (support small businesses in Canberra – it’s your duty!)
I get thru 3 or 4 every day. water is good for you!

Not too bad, if you don’t get too close & slurp it up without touching anything.

Where’s the button for chilled beer?

Good luck with having no teeth and feeling like shit all the time.
Not cold enough for me; where’s the button for chilled water?
Seriously I would never put my mouth to any public bubbler. The risk that some drunk or idiot has done something to it is way too high.
Good enough. At least you don’t have to look down into a sinkpool of 3-day old manky water like the bubblers of old. Anyway- I only drink beer and coke zero: water is for fhishes
