Canberra CBD’s excellent Skate in the City event is finishing for the year this Sunday. If you’ve yet to check it out, hey why not go this Sunday?

Or perhaps one of the days between now and Sunday?

Any of them will do.

Canberra CBD Limited CEO Jane Easthope has been thrilled by the turn out at this year’s event.

“It has been great to see Garema Place come to life particularly during the cold winter months when people prefer to stay indoors,” Ms Easthope said.

“For those who are yet to visit Skate in the City, I would encourage you all to come down for some fun on the ice this week.”

Six 1.5 hour sessions will be running each day this week, from 10am. An extra session at 10pm will also run on both Friday and Saturday night.

The final sessions of each day at 8pm and 10pm for Friday and Saturday will feature Top 40 music to create a dance party feel. Saturday night will also feature the last themed night of the season: Movie Stars.

Skate in the City will officially end with the 8pm session on Sunday night.
