Looking Glass are performing in its entirety their latest offering Looking Glass III in track by track order, as well as tracks off previous releases.
This will the only Looking Glass show in Canberra for 2012, with drummer Clinton relocating to Perth at the end of the month. The band will be using this time apart to write new material for a fourth album, with new ideas for tunes already starting to come together. They are looking forward to continuing where they left off with Looking Glass III, which has had some airplay on Triple J, and also made BMA’s Albums of the Year list for 2011.
Also playing are The Veebees, supporting the release of their latest release Roots’n’Blues.
The Veebees. Brand new, second hand, fair-dinkum-rock’n’roll. Four blokes, three chords, two brain cells and one carton of beer.
According to VeeBees’ bass player Glenno the new album Roots’n’Blues is a complete departure from the last studio album Crack Us Anotha. “Roots’n’Blues has got twelve songs on it. Crack Us Anotha only had nine!”
Mother Mars are coming down from Sydney for the evening. Fuzzed-out riffs, stoner grooves and psychedelic adventures with detours through the valley of doom. Having recently released their fourth disc titled Fossil Fuel Blues, the three piece backed it up with stunning performances at the Sydney and Melbourne Doomsday Festivals in 2011. Come early so you don’t miss these guys.
All bands will have merch available at the gig.
