Low act – Grandmothers bicycle stolen from church

By shaker - 19 February 2011 8

That’s right rioters whilst attending church at Holy Rosary Watson Sunday 13 February, my mum’s bike was stolen.  Mum, who is 79 and has lived in Watson for 51 years was a bit too trusting and has never bothered to lock her bike,to her detriment on the day.  The bike had more sentimental value than monetary value as it has been in the family since I rode it as a junior some 40 years ago.

Description of bike (my old bike) – Speedwell, 24” (60cm), green, back pedal brake with a white basket attached to handlebars. If anyone has seen a bike dumped somewhere that matches the description could they please contact Ivan on 0412 773 656.

To the thief, mum holds no grudge against you, she has actually said a prayer for you which is more than I have done.

What’s Your opinion?

There was a bike leaning up against a town house wall this morning, and it was there yesterday as well, on Mary Kitson Street Watson. No idea what sort of it is.

So it took 40 years of leaving the bike unlocked for someone to eventually nik it. Bloody crimewave !

I’m amazed that God didn’t stop the thief.

Come on RA trolls start with “its your fault you did not shell out for a $150 bike lock” rubbish.

a $10 cable lock would have sufficed for daytime.

Yes and what is that problem with saying that?

It’s almost sickening. You can’t leave anything in this town unless it’s bolted on to something. What’s wrong with society…
