UPDATED, Wednesday: Police are calling for witnesses or dash-cam footage of a car crash that closed a road in eastern Canberra on Tuesday (17 December) and sent three people to hospital.

ACT Policing said emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision between a Honda CRV and a Hyundai i30 on Majura Road, near the roundabout with Tambreet Street, at about 11 am on Tuesday (17 December).

“Police believe the driver of the Honda was swerving across the road and narrowly missing oncoming traffic before colliding with the Hyundai,” a police spokesperson alleged.

“The drivers of both vehicles and a passenger from the Hyundai were extracted from their vehicles by ACT Fire and Rescue before being transported to hospital, one in a serious condition.”

Police are calling for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw the Honda CRV being driven erratically in the Majura area before 11 am that morning.
