Man attacked with baseball bat and robbed in Glebe Park

A man is in hospital after he was attacked with a baseball bat and had his backpack stolen by a group of men in Glebe Park last night.

Around 1 am, a man was walking through the southern end of Glebe Park when he was allegedly approached by two to three men who assaulted him with a baseball bat.

The men stole the victim’s backpack containing a laptop, mobile phone and a sum of cash.

The victim was transported to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service with minor injuries.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information, CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
