Territory and Municipal Services have let us know that McCaughey Street in Turner will be closing this weekend for work on the Belconnen to City Transitway.
The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users that McCaughey Street, between Barry Drive and Masson Street in Turner, will be closed from 1 am Saturday 28 July 2012 to 7 pm Sunday 29 July 2012.
The closure is to allow for works associated with the Belconnen to City Transitway project.
Barriers as well as warning and diversion signs will be erected to alert people of the closure.
There may also be disruptions on Uriarra Road and Brindabella Road on Saturday afternoon due to a cycling race:
The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users of possible traffic disruptions along Uriarra Road and Brindabella Road from 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, 28 July 2012, for a Canberra Cycling Club road race.
Warning signs will be erected to alert people of the cycle race. Reduced speed limits will be in place on the affected roads for the duration of the event.
