Megalo Studio started in a tin shed in 1980 and has been producing posters ever since. To celebrate their 33rd year of making stuff they’re holding an exhibition and producing a book of some of their favourite works. Humphrey McQueen will be on site to launch the collection.

EDIT: The book launch is at Paperchain bookstore, Franklin St, Manuka 6pm Thurs 21 March, not at Megalo. Sorry Megalomania!

‘Megalomania: 33 years of posters made at Megalo Print Studio 1980-2013’, is a visual record of community action, recorded in screen printed posters and produced in Canberra.
Sometimes brutal, often humorous and always informative, the posters portray issues which were, and often still are, of concern and interest to the residents of Canberra over the last three decades. Sourced from the Megalo archive of over 500 posters, Megalomania brings to light a hitherto hidden picture of life in the national capital of Australia.
