Well being the Bublé fan that I am, I had been eagerly awaiting Wednesday night (28th May) for some 3 months prior.
Let me tell you that subjective as I am Bublé did not disappoint.
One of the more touching moments of the night was when he saw a 9 year old fan in the crowd, and singled her out. He had a chat with her, dedicated a song to her and had his photo taken with her… What a great guy.
Not only can he sing as well as he does in the studio, he also sung a vers of his song without amplification or instrumentation, demonstrating to me just how good a singer he is.
I found the gig to not only be musically entertaining, but good for a laugh as well, with Michael making a few jokes between songs.
My high point for the night was his rendition of an Elvis song “Cant Help Falling In Love”, with the house lights fully dimmed and one single spot on Bublé, Holding Mrs Danman in my arms, my spine was shivering with awe, it was almost like I was a young girl at an Elvis gig (Funny though that a bloke-ish 30 something male would admit to that).
Bublé is truly an artist – whether it be his own material or his own renditions…Mrs Danman loved it just as much as me.
Despite the negative press I heard, you just cant keep everyone happy, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be back given the opportunity.
Bublé has surely cemented his place in my playlist circulation in the falcodore.
I have included some photographs of the night. Keeping in mind we were right at the back/middle of the house we had a good view but were some distance. The sharpness of these photographs reflect this. For the tech heads, they were taken on a D70 focussed at max on a 300mm zoom, f5.6 with shutter between 1/60 and 1/160 from about 150m away.
Enjoy, critique welcome as always
Ps, the support for buble Naturally Seven kicked arse too and are worthy of a mention.
They have stuff on youtube… have a look… NOW!!! 🙂
