Fellow defenders of parking etiquette, it is Monday and Monday means it’s time to frown at photos!
We have a fresh crop of photos from our rogues gallery of automotive villains, time to dish out some judgemental justice!
If you snap a shot of some sloppy parking, send it to us at images@the-riotact.com.

Witnessed some soccer training event Tuesday evening at the Brumby University. One million kids kicking balls. Half a million double-parked soccer moms in four-wheel-drives. A RiotACTer with a camera would have had a field day, but quite possibly would have been lynched.
One car (not a 4wd but an older Hyundai wagon) was parked somewhere it shouldn’t have been, and had a big yellow “illegally parked” sticker stuck on the windscreen. Someone had added a few small branches to its roof and bonnet. That really deserved a photo, sorry.

Luckily there is a reasonable amount of bike parking space in Canberra, but yes, I’ve had a rant from someone when I parked in a car space. I pointed to the facts that two cars had used the motorbike parking about 200m away which was illegal and what I was doing was not illegal.
But hey we all know if you don’t drive a big SUV in canberra with my family stickers on the back, that you don’t count when it comes to commuting.

I ask again: would you like all motorbikes to take up one car space, as they are entitled to do so? There are many bikes in Canberra. The law should change just like Melbourne, Paris, Rome and Vienna.

Nice to see that traditional Catholic education valuesa are back in vogue under the new regime…

then barcham shall be flogged again until you do…

Yes.
I didn’t see anything making the scooter parking illegal. The whole point of scooters and motorbikes is to take up less parking space, take up less road space, and use less fuel. Most anti-motorbike rants are just jealousy.

I happened to be walking past the spot where the bike was yesterday and snapped a car parked by those bins, no doubt you’ll be saying the same thing when it gets posted up next Moanday – or is it only motorbikes that have special dispensation to break laws?
There is far too much interest in the flogging of Barcham in these parts.
Or in the interesting parts of Barcham being flogged.
I don’t understand.

Nothing wrong with the bike on page 1 – it is out of the way not impeding anyone. Or would you like it to take up a whole car space? This is how they park in Melbourne and Paris Rome and Vienna.
an easy freebie for anyone with a digital camera who wants to be famous for next Monday’s parking adventures – drive along near the front of Lennox Gardens and keep your eye out for green falcon with number plate HAK something something something. Each and every day of the week it parks on the striped area outside of a valid parking spot instead of moving one or 50 spaces forward into a legitimate spot.
Can we cull the chemist from future parking Monday round ups? It is like making fun of the spastic kid for not having full motor control, or the deaf kid for not being able to hear.
#7 is wonderfully incompetent.
Remind me again how such a numpty is able to get a driver’s licence in the first place?
Jaguar at #9, yes it is not in straight, but I can clearly see the line beside the rear tyre, so I would call that a fair park (with points deducted)
Fixed. Thanks.
Barcham will be flogged.
next page button is dead XD
