It was a couple of weeks ago but the Daily Telegraph is noting that Murrumbateman’s Anthony Wesley has followed up from his big hit last year by capturing an impact on Jupiter on film.

If one is going to spend one’s nights in cold towers asking questions of the stars (or planets) it must be nice to get some return.

After watching ‘The Planets’ on the ABC the last few weeks and getting a realisation of how big Jupiter really is, that explosion would have just about destroyed the Earth as we know if it had hit here. Who needs fireworks!

Pretty cool.

..not getting back

That’s 26 seconds of my life I’m getting back 😉

Interesting…

Of course my top right would be your top left if you were standing on Earth.

Ahh Jupiter, the vacuum cleaner of the solar system.

For those still looking, top right of the planet at around the 8 second mark.
