Epocos.com brings us the news that Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) is moving it’s headquarters this week from Russell offices to “new purpose-built facilities” at Fairbairn Business Park at the airport. The article sounds all glowing but let’s be realistic – they are being moved further away from where the decision making is done.

Computerworld.com informs us that Dr David Everitt has been appointed to head up NICTA’s Canberra Research Laboratory after recently holding the position of chair of Internetworking of the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney.

And finally the Web Standards Group is holding it’s July meeting at the National Library on Thursday 26 July with guest speakers Stephen Collins and Matthew Hodgson both speaking on topics relating to social computing and government.
