Ladies and gentlemen get ready to NERD!
Canberra’s finest, smartest, and best dressed trivia night is returning this month to the Phoenix Bar.
Hosted by yours truly and the stupidly talented Miss Alison McGregor, Nerd Trivia asks you about movies, comics, video games, science fiction, fantasy, science, boardgames, math, mythology, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
It will not ask you about cricket, you can get cricket questions on the underside of your beer lids if that is what you want.
If it does ask about cricket, it will be in reference to the scene in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie where Raphael says that “You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket” before Elias Koteas hits him with a cricket bat.
Elias Koteas is not the guy from Law & Order: SVU, that’s Christopher Meloni.
They do look a lot alike though.
