Nominations are being sought for the 2011 Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards.
The awards allow the Canberra area’s best tourism operators to be recognised for their contribution to the region, and encourage tourism excellence.
The winners are honoured at the Gala Presentation Evening, to be held on Friday 25 November.
Nominations close online at 5pm on Monday 27 June.
Entrants are required to nominate themselves within one of the thirty categories, with awards for everything from attractions and events to ecotourism and young achievers.
Nominations prices vary depending on the category chosen. Nominees must also register on the eAwards portal.
Winners in 26 of the categories will represent the ACT as finalists at the 2011 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, with 2010 winners benefiting from recognition within both the local and broader tourism industry.
There is also support offered for entrants including free workshops in July/August, assistance for student entrants, and a submission mentoring program.
