Parenting can be one of the most rewarding occupations. But it can also be one of the most challenging – a challenge that many parents do not believe they have the skills required to deal with.
In a recent survey, only a third of parents thought that the skills required to be a good parent came naturally to most people. Interestingly, the older the parent the more likely they were to believe that good parenting skills were developed over time through experience and help from other people.
However, according to the survey, one in three fathers did not know where to they could turn for help.
