Pegasus Riding for the Disabled Open day and Mini fete!

Pegasus opens its doors to the public on the 5th of May! There will be plenty of activities, food stalls, other stalls and demonstrations.

Please come and join us, everybody is welcome!

Demonstrations:

11.30am Riding demonstrations by a group of our riders
12.30pm Rhythm work; groundwork with the horse, demonstrated by participants of our ‘Horsing Around’ program.
1.00pm Horse parade

Other stalls and activities include:
– Face painting
– Jumping castle
– Chocolate throw
– Dutch pancakes
– Real coffee (by Black Magic Coffee)
– Homemade soups
– Asian textile exhibition
– Franklyn B. Paverty, Australian Folk music (http://paverty.com.au/)
– Horse gear stall
– Book stalls

Pegasus is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides equestrian activities for people with disabilities. Apart from being fun, horse riding helps to improve co-ordination, balance, muscle development and fitness. It also boosts personal confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, leadership and trust.
