The ABC is confirming that ESA Cheif, Peter Dunn, has quit in protest over the amalgamation of his body with the Department of Justice.

Steve Pratt has helpfully pointed out that the new move returns the ACT to the situation we were in before the 2003 bushfires.

Simon says, don’t worry, be happy.

Does he get a uniform for his swansong and does this also mean that the ESA will no longer be a destination for people leaving the Army, RAAF or RAN?

He may have been good for the ESA – but he certainly trod on more than a few toes in the process of “militarising” his new colleagues.

This screams of a child taking his bat and ball and going home merely because the new job title cramps his style when he catches up to compare schlong size with his Army buddies. Good luck to him in the private sector – he’ll need it.

Good for Peter Dunn. I had seen him saying all the right things on the news a few times, and thought he was just another govt mouthpiece. Obviousely not.
