It’s hard for the cops. They have their high performers, average workers and useless tossers just like every other profession.

if I was the owner, I’d be hoping the car is a write off when found.

I would not want it back after the thrashing it will have gotten.

+1. I’d be shattered if that was my car.

Wasn’t there a thread a while ago about the uselessness of calling crime-stoppers?

That thread had mixed reports. Some thought it was good, others didn’t. Anyway, if crime stoppers are useless, then call the police. It’s not difficult.

Funny how most crims take pride in ‘not being dogs’, yet they’re usually very quick to talk when they’re in trouble.

I think the “dog” code only applied if you are a criminal dobbing in another criminal. It doesn’t count for us law abiding folk.

There’s an interesting technique used by some special forces groups that involves tying the person to a chair, then covering their eyes, nose and mouth using your hands wrapped form behind their head. It allows you to whisper in their ear whilst controlling thier vision and breathing. The technique induces panic, and is apparently very effective in getting people to speak.

As for kill switches, GPS, etc… just buy decent insurance cover. It’s a car and can be replaced.

WTF??? Man there are some stupid people around.

Are u shitting me? Go sniff some more glue and come back with a better statement. There are heaps of ways to make a living without stealing cars or taking other peoples stuff. Things like jobs, those things that people do during the week to make money. Have you heard of them? Your mate obviously has not.

What if your mum was a diabetic and i came along and took her dialysis machine? What then? Sorry, just making a living!

And this is me not taking the piss….. well it would be if i took the machine.

DEFINATELY HAVE SEEN THAT CAR (DOWN SOUTH) ONE DAY LAST WEEK IN MY STREET.

I wondered why it was there. Parked at the end of the street.

Cops can do their own work though. I’ve got plenty on. thanks.

Too lazy to ring CrimeStoppers but you’ve got ‘plenty on’? Like what, packing your bong?

Hope the same attitude is displayed by someone who sees your stolen property

Good one Hugh… hope something happens to you and everybody else adopts your approach.

Spam Box, wet towel and bucket of water = waterboarding. You’ve obviously never been a member of a Durban police unit.

My guess is the car is being/has been chopped in mitchell.

And what the hell is dark aqua.

Or at a cost of less than $100, you could rig up some shotgun shells under your drivers seat to a kill switch (no pun intended). If they dont belong in the car “Boom”, and they wont be running away.

As an added extra, if you’re too inebriated to remember where the kill switch is, you’ll be spared the drink driving fine.

Well good luck getting the car back….Dead set

Or better yet, install a well hidden GPS/GSM tracker ($300-$500) and send it a text message to find out exactly where it is.

Yeah, Keys nicked from the Burglary. There’s a home security lesson there for everyone, I think! Don’t leave your car keys hanging next to the front door or on a table or somewhere obvious unless you want the car in the driveway nicked as well…

If you buy or own a very expensive car like this its always worth getting an aftermarket (non-standard) fuel cutoff switch installed somewhere up under the dash. Mine cost $150.00 installed, by my autoelectrician and if you don’t flip the switch you’re not driving more than a couple of hundred metres before the engine cuts out even with the keys.

And a raspberry Popsicle, and a raw piece of steak, put the blow torch on the steak, make it sizzle, whilst placing the Popsicle on the bare skin of the little prick who steals other people’s stuff, make him think he’s being cooked alive.

Scene out of a movie, and it was piss funny.

By the time his insurance comes through he will be able to get a 2010 model….New for Old?

Great immobiliser on those things.

Er… unless the keys were on the kitchen bench when the house was burgled, of course – that’d make it easier to pinch.

oooooooo nice car
