ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated robbery in Lyons in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday September 26).
About 5.10am two male offenders, armed with a knife and a large wrench, entered the Lyons Newsagency and demanded cash. The staff member was unable to access the safe and the offenders left empty handed. They were last seen headed towards the parkland behind the shops.
Both males are described as approximately 20-years-old, wearing dark coloured clothing and gloves.

2. A really bad case of the munchies:
ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred at a McDonalds restaurant in Conder early this morning (Monday September 27).
About 3.40am a male, armed with a hammer and a screwdriver, has entered the store at the Lanyon Marketplace by smashing the main entrance doors. The offender has threatened staff and demanded a staff member make him a hamburger. The offender has fled the scene with an amount of money prior to receiving the hamburger.
The male is described as having a dark olive complexion, approximately 180cms (5’ 11”) tall, with an athletic build. He was wearing a blue and white horizontally striped polo top.
Anyone who may be able to assist police with the investigation are asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
