It turned out there were three local entries (out of 18) in the Australian Poetry Slam ’08. The final was held this evening at the Opera House in Sydney and broadcast nationally on ABC Radio,
Even more exciting two of them, David Finigan (no secret that he posts here as “blind” and Adam Hadley (hadley, performing here as “The Human Cannonball Academy”) are regular contributors here on RiotACT.
Despite the excellence of their entries they were beaten on the night by another ACT entry, Omar Musa of Queanbeyan.
But enough of the judges, which of the local entries did you think was best?
I’ve spliced them together as a single mp3.
Have a listen and then vote for your favourite entry.

UPDATE: StereoHenry sent in the following which adds link to all their profiles:
- QBN’s Omar Musa has taken out the national Poetry Slam and its $5000 purse.
Congrats to Canberran runners-up Adam Hadley and David Finnigan – who both joined Omar in Sydney last night for the final.
666 ABC Canberra has more.
