Queens birthday honours 2011

Chief Minister Katy Gallagher has this morning congratulated the recipients of Queens Birthday honours.

Marie Coleman PSM has been awarded an Officer (AO) in the General Division for distinguished service to the advancement of women, particularly through the National Foundation for Australian Women and the Australian Women’s Archives project.

Nick Warner PSM has also been awarded an Officer (AO) in the General Division for distinguished service to public sector leadership through the development of policy, administration and reform in the areas of intelligence, defence and international relations.

Helen Maxwell has been awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to the museum and galleries sector.

Michelle McGrath has been awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to community health through Alzheimer’s Australia in the Canberra region.

Lisa Paul PSM has been awarded an Officer (AO) in the General Division for distinguished service to public sector leadership in key policy and program implementation, particularly through driving reform in education, employment and workplace relations.

Dr Naren Chellappah has been awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to the international community as a volunteer dental surgeon.

Richard Larter has been awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to the visual arts as a painter.

Conrad Barr has been awarded an Australian Fire Service Medal for outstanding leadership, commitment and dedication to innovation and to the continuous improvement of the ACT Fire Brigade.

David Sutton has been awarded an Ambulance Service Medal for outstanding leadership, commitment and dedication in the provision of urgent and non-urgent ambulance services to the Canberra community since 1988.

Tony Graham has been awarded an Emergency Services Medal (ESM) for demonstrated passion and commitment to serving the community through the State Emergency Services (SES) in the community since 1989.
