Foxsports has the unexpected and happy news of a lime green triumph over Sydney’s Roosters:

Canberra centre Jarrod Croker has capped off his 100th game in the NRL with a match-winning try and conversion against the Roosters at Canberra Stadium to lead his side to a 24-22 victory.

The Raiders fought back from a 16-0 halftime deficit to record the biggest NRL comeback in 2013.

The round five loss ended a three game winning streak for the Roosters.

Raiders captain David Shillington was inspirational for the home team, making 144 metres in attack and forcing several turnovers with his confrontational defence.

While we shouldn’t ignore the ongoing errors , penalties and dropped balls from the first half, that second half constituted one of the better Raiders wins I can remember! Croker was awesome in his hundredth. Edrick Lee reminds me of a very young Israel Folau. Shillington was heroic, and has surely earned his way into the starting Kangaroos pack for the test match.

Always good to have a comeback win. Interesting to see just how much louder a Raiders crowd is than a Brumbies crowd, despite usually being a couple thousand people fewer.

Jeepers! Quick, swab the lot of them…….again!
