Lisa Richards takes to the Canberra Theatre stage on Friday night, part of this week’s installment of CTC at Home. The globetrotting singer-songwriter takes inspiration from the esteemed traditions of folk, blues and jazz. Living in New York and Austin before moving home to Canberra in recent years gave her a first-hand look at the music she draws from and helped her develop her own voice within it.

Tune in early to the live-streamed event to catch an intimate set from Canberra sound artist Sebastian Field. His deft songwriting and ability to create atmosphere can be heard in his work with renowned local groups like Cracked Actor, Borrows and The Ellis Collective. Friday night from 6:00 pm is your chance to catch him in his solo form, playing songs from his 2019 album Picture Stone as well as some brand new material.

It’s a great week to be a jazz fan in Canberra, with emerging vocalist Jess High set to perform at the National Press Club on Friday evening. Australian blues legend Tom Haley will appear there on Thursday before Molly welcomes back their house band across town later that night.

Live In Ya Lounge continues this week as well, encouraging gig-goers to enjoy a night out from the comfort of their own homes with live-streamed sets on Friday and Saturday.
