Uruguayan indie-folk singer-songwriter Felipe Baldomir is taking his converted van, complete with recording studio, out on the road once again this month. He’ll be making a stop at UC Hub on Saturday night, sharing new songs and old from 8 pm.
The Basement is set for a jam-packed Friday night with a dozen acts taking to the venue’s two stages. Chain Tombstone and the Dead Men are gearing up for some of their first appearances this side of the pandemic while The Bedlam In Belconnen will feature some of the city’s funnest acts in Slowbeard, Jen Broadbent, Nora, and St Crimson.
Smith’s Alternative is playing host to its usual smorgasbord of open mic nights, with Classical Capers, Band Beng Bing Bong Bung, Old Timey Wednesday, Django Jam, Lunchulele, and Smith’s Irish Jam giving musicians of all kinds the chance to get up and play throughout the week.
