The Australian Youth Orchestra will return to the nation’s capital this weekend to present ‘Ngapa William Cooper’. Born out of a collaboration between composer Nigel Westlake, singer-songwriter Lior, and performer and academic Dr Lou Bennett, it takes the form of three sweeping works to be performed at Llewellyn Hall on Sunday evening.

Ainslie Salon will evolve into a two-day mini-festival across Friday and Saturday nights at Ainslie Arts Centre. Midpoint will be a celebration of experimental music practices in the ACT. It will feature a host of local artists: Tangents, 莎瑜 (ShaYu), and Ben Marston + Chris Thwaite on Friday, and YL Hooi, ioki + Micah Heathwood, and Reuben Lewis on Saturday.

Burntout Bookings is gearing up for its 2nd birthday celebrations this week. Burntout Turns 2 will see Suzi, Box Dye, Bad Lunar and Goon Gremlins all taking to the stage at The Polo on Saturday night.
