Rivett man charged over alleged armed robbery at Manuka bank

Charges have been laid over an incident at a Westpac Manuka bank where a man was allegedly threatened with a taser and a gun before being robbed.

A 37-year-old Rivett man will answer to charges of aggravated robbery (in company), possessing an offensive weapon with intent, riding in a motor vehicle without consent and breach of good behaviour obligation in the ACT Magistrates Court today (9 June).

The man was arrested after officers executed a search warrant at his home on Thursday (8 June).

Police are still searching for a second man believed to have been involved in the alleged robbery and have called for anyone who may have information to get in touch via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference 7416300.
