Territory and Municipal Services have published their list of planned mowing activities next week. Easily the hottest issue in Canberra at the moment.

Getting a go are:

    — Inner north major roads – Federal Highway, Majura Road, Parkes Way – Arterial road mowing
    — Inner north suburbs – Acton, Dickson, Downer, Hackett, O’Connor, Turner, Watson – General suburb mowing
    — Gungahlin region suburbs – Ngunnawal, Nicholls, Harrison – General suburb mowing
    — Inner south region major roads – Captain Cook Cres, Stuart Avenue, Wentworth Avenue, Brisbane Avenue, Sydney Avenue – Arterial road mowing
    — Inner south suburbs – Barton, Forrest, Kingston – General suburb mowing
    — Inner south fire fuel reduction – Fyshwick, Symonston – Fire fuel reduction mowing
    — Tuggeranong major roads – Woodcock Drive, Monaro Highway – Arterial road mowing
    — Tuggeranong region suburbs – Greenway, Kambah, Oxley, Fadden, Wanniassa, Calwell, Banks, Condor – General suburb mowing
    — Tuggeranong region fire fuel reduction – Bonython – Fire fuel reduction mowing
    — Woden Valley and Weston Creek region suburbs major roads – Athllon Drive, Hindmarsh Drive, Launceston Street, Melrose Drive, Namatjira Drive, Streeton Drive, Yamba Drive, Yarra Glenn – Arterial road mowing
    – Woden Valley and Weston Creek region suburbs – Isaacs, Mawson – General suburb mowing
    — Belconnen region suburbs – Belconnen, Giralang, Kaleen, Evatt, Higgins, Macgregor – General suburb mowing

So what happens if they didn’t get to what they promised to do this week – Isabella Plains was on this list but the weeds are still knee high as of this arvo!

Next time they mow around our way it might help if the do a bit more than take 2 inches of the top. The grass behind our place went form being a foot high to 10 inches. The only way you could tell it had been cut was that it was even across the park (except the obvious bits between the mow runs that were missed).
