ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives executed three search warrants over the past week as part of Taskforce Nemesis targeting the criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCGs).

The search warrants were executed on houses and vehicles in Pialligo, Chisholm and Kambah.

As a result of these warrants, police have seized an amount of illicit substances, believed to be cocaine and methamphetamine, weapons including a nun-chuck, anabolic steroids, ammunition and a quantity of cash.

A 34-year-old Chisholm man and 41-year-old Pialligo man will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date charged with drug and weapons offences.
Chief Police Officer Rudi Lammers said the search warrants carried out were another success story for Taskforce Nemesis.

“Taskforce Nemesis continues to apply pressure to those who are involved in organised crime including outlaw motor cycle gangs,” CPO Lammers said.

“Our message is simple: anyone who chooses to participate, or become involved with OMCGs and their criminal activities should expect to be targeted by police and law enforcement agencies.”
Rewards of up to $2000 continue to be available for information that leads to the successful prosecution of members of OMCGs.

ACT Policing is urging anyone who may have information relating to criminal activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
