While the Canberra Centre offers all you need to shop till you drop, there is also an abundance of options for fantastic dining experiences located within the shopping centre to make any trip to Civic a full day or evening out.

Canberra Centre General Manager Gary Stewart says the city is the place to be for all kinds of dining.

“From casual eats to fine dining, the Canberra food scene has evolved significantly over the last few years,” Gary explains.

“Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal with friends, every visit is a delicious opportunity to explore what the city has to offer.”

Gami Chicken and Beer

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 am to 9 pm.

Brought to Canberra after franchise manager Priya Pattem had a memorable experience at the Melbourne restaurant, this conveniently located eatery is every chicken and chips lover’s dream.

“We had such an amazing time when we went to eat there in Melbourne and I realised that I wanted to bring their food and service to Canberra,” she says.

“We have been running the shop since 2018 and I absolutely love creating a family environment for people to enjoy the way we did our first time eating there.”

From their signature ‘big chicken’ with enough chicken, cheese sticks, rice cakes and shoestring chips to feed the family to a grilled chicken burger to wings smothered in the sauce of your choosing to delicious Korean meals without the chicken, including beef bulgogi, bibimbap and tteok bokki, Gami is the perfect place for your next family lunch or dinner.
