When it comes to visual spectacle Skyfire in 2012 certainly had a lot going for it.
KayPezz has sent in a lovely set of photos, including the one above.
Todd has also been busy, sending in a bunch including this gloriously moody photo of Navy Squirrel helicopters:
Rebecca was not too impressed with the way some were treating the Merchant Navy Memorial (which has a truly beautiful inscription when not being sat on)

Where do you get yours?
How good was the sun set?
My tow year old absolutely loved the Roulettes as well. Quite good lead up entertainement this year but I still miss the F111 bombing past with the afterburner on.

No I didn’t go, I had to feed my cat.
I have been before though, in which they estimated the same crowd figures. Regatta Point would fit around 12-15 thousand at the most. The Anzac Parade would be around the same, possibly a bit more.
Considering the rest of the area’s around the lake, 50-60 thousand would be a lot more accurate.
Oops ride not flight.
Crank up the Flight of the Valkyries for the choppers.

So how many would you suggest were there?
The shores of Regatta Point looked extremely full, then you have ANZAC Pde, and the other side of the lake, why isn’t 100,000 a good number?
Ohh I forgot to ask, did you go?
Once again, the Canberra Times comes out with the ridiculous figure that over 100,000 people attended Skyfire.
Where do they get these estimates from?
