Slow Food Canberra have announced they’re doing a long table banquet in Garema Place on 11 March.
Slow Food Canberra is hosting an outdoor banquet, bringing people together in appreciation of food and community and promoting the social and health benefits of exploring different ways to integrate sustainability into their life through their choices in food.
The banquet will be opened by local producer, sustainability advocate and Slow Food Co-Convivium Leader, Michael Croft. The long table style banquet is in keeping with the community spirit with home cooked meals and desserts made from local produce served pot-luck style, including delicious sour-dough breads from Robert Guth.
Following the banquet, screening of the film Dirt commences at 8:15 pm.
Places at the banquet are limited to 50; find out more or reserve a seat by emailing

$15 a throw for a Slow Food meal is an exceptional opportunity. Even if you don’t always agree with all of the Slow Food philosophy the food is always excellent.
