For the first time a Capital Region Film has cracked the Finals of the Best Short Film category… not just one film but three! The films are NO EXCUSE (Scott Murden), FORE! (Duane Fogwell) and THE CHANGING MAN (Rami Fischler). These three “local” films will go head to head with film from across Australia and overseas in Thredbo from 12-16 June.
This success could be an indication of the improvement in the standard of local short filmmaking- though it is worth noting (or maybe it isn’t) that none of these films were funded by the ACT government.
