Beyond the expected

Stateline ABC TV 7.30 Tonight

By stateline 11 August 2006 2

Stateline. August 11th. ABC TV. 7.30.

*Canberra scientists have come up with a form of solar energy cheap enough to be competitive with coal fired electricity. But is there the political will to make it happen?

* Local author, Helga Griffin talks about her compelling autobiography
“Sing me that lovely song again”. She recounts her childhood as an “enemy alien”.

*There was some controversy amongst RiotACT regulars when musician Tom Woodward “advertised” his CD – and his promise to drive it over and deliver it to your door. Catherine Garrett joined Tom by his phone to see if got any takers. ( and yes, the RiotACT gets a mention)

* This has been an unpaid advertisement for Stateline tonight at 7.30. Repeated at noon on Saturday.

What’s that? Giving Tom’s CD a push is OK with the ABC?

It’s OK guys no need to rush with the apology.
