Stolen car and driver smashed

By GnT 12 June 2007 4

There was a small Canberra Times story today (on the edge of page 5?) about a
man being cut out of a car on Barry Drive yesterday. What the story failed
to mention is that the car was stolen (from Page) and he was as high as a
kite (“allegedly”).

There is a lot of flack given to cops every time a car chase ends in a crash. But how many of those stolen cars or drunk drivers would have crashed anyway, like this guy?

What’s Your opinion?

I’ve been out of RiotAct range for a while – has anything been announced about the Audrey Fagan inquest?

I do feel bad for these crims – I mean every day they have to wake up and be themselves – That’s suck. They will never have meaningful relationships or happy lives.
But I have to say it seems as though in Canberra you have more rights if you are a criminal and a low life than if you are a law abiding citizen.
If you are a drug addict and on the dole you get your accomodation for dirt cheap – you can sit there and deal drugs and make a killing – but because the police know that you’d get a piss ass sentence if you do get charged they just pretty much leave you alone, however if I was to take matters into my own hands and give out a bit of vigilante justice I’m sure I would be charged and have the booke thrown at me – purely because the judge would know that i would actually be greatly affected by that punishment – and it would stop me from doing anything again – however with the crims, they’ll do it again and again and again.
But hey, let them have kids and bring them up in abusive environments, and then lets be surprised when the kids turn out just like mummy and daddy and are low life criminals – stuffing up the lives of decent citizens.

throw them in jail. These toerags don’t deserve the leniency given them by the judiciary……thank you dogooders and civil libertarians. What about the rights of those of us who don’t go out and commit crimes.

However make sure that in jail they get mandatory training in life and vocational skills. Keep them busy and productive so they come out better than they went in.

Fairly soon the bleeding hearts will be out about what a bad home life this person had, and how they only took drugs because of peer pressure, and how they didn’t mean to steal the car.

Throw him in the clink!
